Welcome to Pecan Valley, where the town may be small but the townspeople will always lend a helping hand or a shoulder to lean on. Where good times, good humor, and good people will always lead to happily ever after.

Life for Felicity, and her teen children, is finally back on track. After her divorce, she wasn’t sure if her sweet family would ever be the same. But things are good––right up until her ex’s spirited toddler lands on Felicity’s doorstep. If the universe is going to throw lemons at her, thank God she has her best friend, Graham, to help her make lemonade out of them. How did she never notice how kind and sexy he is?

Graham is still recovering from his wife’s death years ago and trying to help his teen daughter get her life together. Who is he kidding? His daughter hates him. Forget lemons––he’s got the entire lemon tree. So when Felicity suggests they join forces and help each other, he’s all in. And suddenly he can’t stop thinking about her as more than just a friend. Exclusive Excerpt:

Felicity was too busy wondering how they managed to keep everything white with a toddler running around. There were no toys, no babyproofing, no books—no sign that a toddler lived here. It was gorgeous, in a stark Architectural Digest sort of way. High ceilings. Open concept. A massive abstract painting over a fireplace—a white marble fireplace. “It’s very white,” she murmured. And cold.

Charity laughed. “It’s sophisticated, Filly.”

Felicity shrugged and headed into the kitchen. The kitchen was the heart of her home—the place they all congregated on stools and around her beloved wooden farm table. This was all clean lines and chrome. It looked pokey. And cold.

She pulled the cart behind her, opening cabinets and drawers, pulling out all the child-size utensils, bowls, sippy cups, bottles, and bibs she could find, filling one grocery bag to the top. The refrigerator was empty, minus a few jars of organic baby food and some almond milk. Was the almond milk for Jack? Did he have digestive issues? Matt didn’t. That left Jack. Or Amber.

“Charity,” she called out. “We need to find Jack’s vaccination records. And any medical stuff—his pediatrician’s name would be even better.” The steel front of the refrigerator was blank, no magnets, no notes, nothing. “His birth certificate. All that stuff.”

“Maybe in her office?” Charity called back. “Looks like she worked from home a lot. I’ll see what I can find.”

“Thank you.” She already felt like she was trespassing. Digging through Amber’s things, learning about Amber and Matt’s life—thank God Charity was here. She flipped off the kitchen lights and tugged the wagon down the hall. The exterior wall was mostly windows, giving her a clear view of the outside world. A world she didn’t belong in. She hurried along, eager to find the nursery.

Considering how very white everything was, the grouping of photos on the interior wall stopped her. Amber and Matt on some snow-covered mountain somewhere. They’d gone to Paris and Italy… A picture of Amber pregnant. And one of the three of them. She knew Matt’s smiles like the back of her hand. These were real smiles. He’d been happy in this new, whitewashed world.

It hurt like hell. It shouldn’t matter that he’d worn that same happy smile for her. But, dammit, it did. There had been so many smiles and special moments and fun travels and real-life struggles they’d made it through together. Time, seventeen years, and there wasn’t a shred of evidence here that those years had existed. They’d been erased, leaving his past as blank as these walls. How empty that would feel to her. Whatever pain he’d caused her, their children deserved his presence in their lives.

#MFRWHooks “Three o’clock in the morning.” #99c #amreading #NewRelease #MFRWOrg #OneClick

Happy Wednesday everyone.
I’d like to introduce you to book 2 in the Alinta Bay series
TELL IT TO MY HEART
which is now available on AMAZON for 99c .
I hope you’ll enjoy today’s “hook”, which is in Noah’s POV.

Today’s Hook:

Noah Fielding woke to the sound of his phone buzzing relentlessly on the bedside table. Reluctantly removing one arm from under the covers, he reached for his watch, squinting to read the time. Three o’clock in the morning. Who in the hell would call at this crappy time of the day? Or night as it were.
A rumble of thunder almost drowned out the buzzing, but it didn’t go away. With a big sigh, he grabbed the phone and answered. “Hello?”
“Is this Noah Fielding?”
“Who wants to know?”
“My name is Graham Hendrix, and I represent the estate of the late Mrs. Eliza Fielding from Alinta Bay. My apologies, I tried to get the time difference right, but it seems I didn’t.”
He swung his legs to the side of the bed and sat up. “Late?”

BLURB:

Confronted with the choice to care for his friend’s family on the other side of the world or to return to Alinta Bay to be with his own newfound family, how will Noah choose?

Following the death of his grandmother, Noah Fielding returns to Alinta Bay and the first thing — or person — he finds is the next-door neighbour in his nan’s bathroom — naked no less. Still jetlagged, he doesn’t hit it off with Molly at first. Yet, over the next few weeks, as his past uncovers itself bit by bit, she becomes is anchor, his friend, and his lover.

Molly Reid had the world at her feet, happily married with a young son … until a tragic car accident took everything away from her. With her heart broken, she moves to Alinta Bay to escape the memories of the past. Her peaceful existence, however, is interrupted after a heavy storm floods her house and she temporarily moves into her recently deceased neighbour’s house next door.

When Noah’s friend and partner goes missing during a routine flight, Noah returns to Alaska to help, but will he come back for Molly?

“This blood-pumping novel will keep the reader hooked until the very end.” InD’tale Magazine

“Do yourself a favor and grab a copy of this wonderful book and fall in love.” (5 star review)

Mat is a sexy, tattooed New Zealander with a strong sense of family and duty and Tiffany is a woman with a past that continues to haunt her. Can Mat help her overcome her demons and move on with the next phase of her life? Come for the romance and stay for the breathtaking scenery. (5 star review)

4 stars – NEW BEGINNINGS is a very emotional read, one that is heartwarming as well as heart wrenching. It gives you hope in the act of human kindness and that good things do happen to good people. I highly recommend this book.

JELVIA: NOT HUMAN

SPIDER
by T.E. Kessler

Bethany Roberts was born into a privileged life, but all that was taken away when, at nine years old, a car crash killed her older brother, and her mother received life-changing injuries. Beth’s younger sister was too young to understand how the pressure affected their father and only saw him as a fun-time dad, spending money and giving them expensive holidays. But Beth was old enough to realise he was spending far beyond their means and drinking too much.
He lost them their beautiful home and lifestyle.
As Beth grew, she became a carer to both her parents and a mother to her sister, Lara. She gave up school and took menial jobs to keep a roof over their heads.
Beth managed.
But it all came crashing down when Lara, now seventeen years old, became a statistic of the Jelvian onslaught on humankind. She disappeared.
And Beth, now twenty-five, has nothing to lose.
Nothing what so ever.
She is going to get her sister back.
She’d sold herself to a Jelvia, and he wanted full payment.

Jelvia: Not Human #3

SPIDER

She picked up the dress again and stepped into it. The material slithered over her skin. The dress was a perfect size. Sandals slipped on her feet like they were made for her. She turned to gaze at herself in the mirror.
She looked like a different person.
Beautiful. She could do this. She could be that beautiful woman in the mirror. The woman with the full breasts, nipples pointing through the silk of the dress. The woman with wide eyes, full mouth, pink cheeks, and the cute pixie cut.
She looked like a woman knowing she was about to be made love to. No, she didn’t—she looked terrified. She closed her eyes on her reflection and tried to calm her roaring pulse and the sickness in her stomach.

The Book Nirvana Series

Blurb:
Rejected by her family for her bisexuality, graphic artist Margot DuPont yearns for a life with no fences, no limits, and no family ties. Between college, work at Book Nirvana, and an art competition, she barely has time for her part-time girlfriend, much less a flirtation with her competitor.
Dumped into the foster system at a young age, ceramics artist Elmer Byrne craves a big, loving family of the heart. His artist family almost fills that need, but something is missing…until Margot. But when he offers his heart, her thorny defenses shatter him.
Thrown together in an art competition that could jump-start one artist’s career, but not both, their irresistible attraction forces them to reconsider the meaning of success.

Excerpt from inside cover:

“Tell you what,” he said. “How about if we have drinks and talk about anything but the competition?”

                “Because…why?”

“You’re a real hard-ass, aren’t you?” He rolled his eyes. “Because I like you, Margot.”

                “Why?”

He leaned so close their foreheads almost touched, a challenge simmering in his smile. “Have a drink with me and find out.”

If there was one thing she couldn’t resist, it was a challenge. On the other hand, he might not like her so much if he knew about Darcy. Let that be the test, then. Let him prove he wasn’t one of those possessive, controlling guys Darcy warned her about.

“Okay. I will.” She stepped back. “But you should know, I’m sort of seeing someone.”

His thick auburn brows contracted. “Sort of?”

                “A woman.”

His nostrils flared on a deep inhalation, but he held her gaze. “Is it serious?”

“Not really.” Might as well serve up the truth, raw and ungarnished. Might as well be honest with herself too. “She lives in Berkeley. I only see her every month or two.”

Holding her gaze, he nodded. “Okay then. Thanks for telling me.” The tense lines of his mouth relaxed into a casual grin. “So, drinks?”

                Well I’ll be damned.

Author Bio:

Ever since her first kiss, Sadira’s been spinning steamy tales in her head. After leaving her teaching career in Germany, she finally tried her hand at writing one. Now she’s a happy citizen of Romancelandia, penning contemporary romance from her new home in Washington State, U.S.A. When not writing, which is seldom, she explores the Pacific Northwest with her charming husband, enjoys the local music scene, plays darts (pretty well), plays guitar (badly), and gobbles all the books. Visit Sadira at www.sadirastone.com .

Inspiration for the Book Nirvana Series:

Until 2016, I was one of those readers—literary snobs who look down their noses at romance for the usual stupid reasons: too corny, too predictable, too fluffy. Then I read about how fun and lucrative writing erotica can be. I thought, what the heck? Let’s try.

I have never had so much fun with a writing project! My first steamy romance, Through the Red Door, nearly wrote itself, though it damn sure didn’t edit itself. Now I’m totally addicted to passionate, heartfelt stories with happy endings, both as a reader and as a writer.

Why set the series in a bookshop? Ever since I was a wee lass, I dreamed of owning one. Add to that my fascination with historical erotic art and literature, and you’ve got the Book Nirvana series, set in an indie bookshop with an extensive erotica collection behind a locked red door.

I love writing stories in which a couple’s powerful physical attraction leads them to consider a partner outside their usual M.O.—one who just might turn out to be their perfect match. That’s how it happened for my husband and me!

I wanted to set my series in a college town, so I chose Eugene, home of the University of Oregon, with its lively arts scene and rich counterculture legacy from the hippie era. It’s now my favorite Oregon town to visit!

Praise for Through the Red Door (Book Nirvana Book One)

“…a beautiful love story filled with wonderful characters and if you like your romance hot, hot, hot look no further. It is a story about being able to begin anew and still love the one you lost.”

            — Linda Tonis, RWA Paranormal Romance Review Team

“The erotic scenes in this book were off the charts – even the ones that were only Clara’s “dreams.” Ms. Stone’s debut novel is a rich mix of love, sex, and thoughtful introspection as she tries to move on with her life.” Peggy Jaeger, author of Christmas and Cannolis

“This book is in a class by itself… What elevates this book is the excellent writing, the memorable characters, and the captivating story. PLUS…parts of it are verrrry funny. I mean laugh-out-loud funny. There are also some very touching parts, too. Parts that’ll bring tears to your eyes.”

Susan Flett Swiderski, author of Hot Flashes and Cold Lemonade

Praise for Runaway Love Story (Book Nirvana Book Two)

“This is such a lovely, believable story with the characters masterfully drawn, dealing with their real-world problems and doubts instead of the ‘fluff’ that often permeates romance. The absolute standout feature, though, is the dialogue. There is not one instance where the dialogue becomes contrived or unnatural. In fact, I suspect the author must have eavesdropped and recorded conversations!”

  • BookBub review by Laney Kaye (@leehotline)

“Stone’s use of everyday situations like putting a loved one in a nursing home brings a deep humanity to this novel that is usually lacking in romance, especially one this hot! It certainly elevates the book above the usual romance. Laurel and Doug face a rough road with lots of potholes and emotional baggage as they try to find a compromise that will let their relationship blossom. I read it in one sitting.”

—Suanne Schaefer, author of A Different Kind of Fire

“The author writes with humor and heart, giving us a country mouse / city mouse relationship, where the two aren’t as different as they might think, and Laurel needs to open her eyes to the possibilities right in front of her. The secondary characters were lots of fun to read as well – I adored the colorful great aunt, and her gaggle of young artistic friends. The author sends the readers through a rollercoaster of emotions before giving us our happy ending, but it’s well worth the journey! 5 sparkling stars for this one, and I look forward to reading more from this author!”

  • Katie O’Sullivan, multi-published romance author

#SnippetSunday “…he was on poop pick up duty.” #Romancebooks #love #amwriting

This is still the story set in Tasmania, Leonie’s attempt to travel around the beautiful Australian state. Today’s snippet is in Alex’s POV.
Enjoy ♥

Ten minutes later, he enjoyed the fresh breeze of the Tamar River as he walked along the foreshore with Kaiser. He took a few deep breaths and his mind started to calm, he started to relax. A sudden jolt from the leash hauled him back to the present. Looking around he figured he was on poop pick up duty. Although a soft laugh escaped his lips, he gave Kaiser a stern look. “You honestly could’ve waited for doing your business until your next walk with dad.”
Throwing the little bag in the next bin, his thoughts drifted into the past again. For a brief moment he cursed Patty. He cursed her for her dishonesty and being more interested in his public profile than him. And, yes, he blamed her for him now doubting anything any woman said. Was he reading too much into Jenny’s words? Had he in fact done the right thing to let Leonie stay at his house?
He shook his head unsure though why Jenny hadn’t mentioned anything about her husband moving out soon.
The phone buzzed, and he retrieved it out of his pants pockets. “Hello.”
There was silence for a beat before she finally spoke. “Hi this is Leonie. I’m truly sorry for bothering you.”
Slightly raising a brow, he asked, “Is everything okay?”
“Yes,” she replied with a bit more confidence in her voice. “It’s a beautiful house. I can actually see you sitting on the porch writing your stories.” And with a little laugh she added, “Although not necessarily crime stories.”

Happy Wednesday everyone.
I’d like to introduce you to book 2 in the Alinta Bay series
TELL IT TO MY HEART
which is now available on AMAZON for 99c .
I hope you’ll enjoy today’s “hook”.

Today’s Hook:

“Yes. And I’ll ask her for the huge favour to give me the keys for next door.”
“Why?” Kristen wanted to know.
“I might be able to stay there for the next couple of days,” Molly explained. “At least until the house goes on the market. The lovely Mrs. Fielding passed away two days ago. I’m sure it’ll take a while until people get the house on the market. Gives me enough time to find someone to fix this house.”
She took a sip of the coffee, taking in the rich flavour on her tongue and enjoying the way it warmed her up. The warmth spreading through her body was a comfort as well.
Bewilderment spread across Kristen’s face. “You can’t just stay at the stranger’s house, especially not somebody who has just died.”
Molly thought about it for a moment before she hitched one shoulder in a shrug. “Worth a try.” She took a big bite of the croissant and with a full mouth, she murmured, “I miss her.”
“Eliza Fielding?”
Molly nodded.
Kristen patted Molly’s hand. “How are you holding up?”
Another shrug. “I’m trying not to give in to the memories, but sometimes it’s really hard. I miss my little family.” She swiped her hand across her eyes and stood. “We’d better get moving before it gets too hot.”

This is still the story set in Tasmania, Leonie’s attempt to travel around the beautiful Australian state. Today’s snippet is in Alex’s POV.
Enjoy ♥

“I’ll be heading to Binalong tomorrow,” he explained as he stood.
Yet, instead of going to his childhood room, he (Alex) reached for the dog leash in the hall for a walk with his parents’ German shepherd.
“Come on Kaiser. Still light enough to enjoy a nice walk.”
The dog wagged his tail in excitement, making in hard for Alex to hook up the leash. He chuckled.
“I’m taking Kaiser to the foreshore.”
Hans came into the hall. “Are you okay, son?”
Still kneeling next to Kaiser and padding the dog, Alex shook his head. “I’m okay. You know I come here for peace and quiet. If Mum is right, I might head into a storm in Binalong.” He stood. “Was I wrong to offer the house to Leonie?”
A slow smile spread across his father’s smile. “Aren’t you a little overdramatic? It was the right thing to offer Leonie the house. Of course it was. She needed a little help and you’ve been able to give it to her.” He scratched the back of his neck. “As for Jenny, she’s always had a crush on you. But that doesn’t mean there’ll be a storm.” A chuckle escaped his lips. “As I said, that’s an exaggeration.”
“Dad—”
“Have a think about it and sit on it a day or two. I’m sure Jenny will enjoy Leonie’s company. It’s most likely what Jenny needs at the moment.”
Alex blew out a breath before he gave a slow nod in agreement.
“Now go and get the boy some exercise before he passes out with over excitement.”
