INNOCENT TEARS has been re-released.
It has enjoyed another full edit and an awesome new cover.
Here’s another little snippet.
THANK YOU

Advice is what we ask for when we already
know the answer, but wish we didn’t.”

Flynn shook his head in disbelief. “What about Jenny and Carl?”
Teresa looked surprised. “Your parents? No. And since they moved a few years back, I wouldn’t even know how to contact them.”
William stood up to face Flynn. “Son, she’s a beautiful little girl, and as they say, the
apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.”
Flynn checked the time on his wristwatch. “I’ll be here tomorrow again, same time.”
He walked off again. He needed air. Needed to try and digest all the information he had just been given. Needed to sort his head before he would be able to focus on a calm conversation. And he needed air to breathe and to fill his body with… with something.
After all, he had just become a dad.

  1. Most parents have about 9 months to prepare, all at once has got to leave his head spinning, but he sounds like he will come around.

    1. That was the background to the story, Chelle. How would someone cope when finding out about becoming a parent over night. Thanks for stopping by.

  2. He’s certainly going to be in a daze over this shocker for a while! Filling his body with what is the question. I don’t think he’s getting over this any time soon.

  3. “And he needed air to breathe and to fill his body with… with something.” Love this line! Makes him seem so frustrated and lost all at once. This poor guy must feel like he’s been hit by a freight train. I wonder how he’s going to take all this in the end once he’s had some time to think. Love the line about the apple not falling far from the tree either, very sweet.

  4. Wow, he’s gone from singlehood to fatherhood in a short, short, time. No wonder he needs air. Great snippet.

Don't be shy and leave me a comment :-)
