#MFRWHooks “…she fell in love with the city…” #amreading #books #bookrecommendation

Happy Wednesday everyone.
I started sharing snippets from my very first book “Sweet Dreams, Miss England”. I hope you liked it. I moved a little further in the story with Beth travelling to Dublin to meet new friends.
ENJOY ♥

Today’s Hook:

Beth loved Dublin. She loved the atmosphere, and she enjoyed everyone’s friendliness. She liked the little cafes, the shops, and the tourist attractions — she fell in love with the city within only a very few hours of arriving there.
Beth had wandered the streets first thing in the morning and bought a new outfit for the night. She noticed that wherever she went it was obvious to everyone that she wasn’t a local. The Irish slang was something she had to get used to, though, if she wanted to understand Siobhan and Erin that night. She loved the accent; it was a beautiful sing sang and another plus for the green Isle.
She strolled along the River Liffey, before going back into the main streets for some lunch. Beth was heading towards the Hard Rock Café in Fleet Street when she suddenly spotted a little place called ‘Elephant & Castle’. It had burgers as a specialty, and she decided she had to give it a go. When she stepped inside the bistro, a waiter came her way, led her to a nice table in the corner next to the window, and handed her the menu. She surprised herself for not feeling uncomfortable being on her own, but she was too distracted by watching the world go by and listening to other people talk without actually taking note of what they were saying.

BLURB:

Sometimes we meet people but not to share the rest of our lives with them, but merely for them to guide us onto a different path.
Set in London and Dublin we follow the life of Beth, a young mother of two who is married to Shane, an actor whose work requires him to be in Los Angeles. When Beth meets Daniel, a fun-loving, spontaneous man from Ireland, she realises how much joy and passion are missing from her marriage, and consequently her life. Beth is torn between her marriage to Shane and her love for this Irish charmer

“This blood-pumping novel will keep the reader hooked until the very end.” InD’tale Magazine

“Do yourself a favor and grab a copy of this wonderful book and fall in love.” (5 star review)

Mat is a sexy, tattooed New Zealander with a strong sense of family and duty and Tiffany is a woman with a past that continues to haunt her. Can Mat help her overcome her demons and move on with the next phase of her life? Come for the romance and stay for the breathtaking scenery. (5 star review)

4 stars – NEW BEGINNINGS is a very emotional read, one that is heartwarming as well as heart wrenching. It gives you hope in the act of human kindness and that good things do happen to good people. I highly recommend this book.
