Happy Wednesday everyone.
I started sharing snippets from my very first book “Sweet Dreams, Miss England”. I hope you liked it. I moved a little further in the story with Beth travelling to Dublin to meet new friends.
Beth’s hotel room was right in the middle of Dublin, near Grafton Street. She had decided to go for a central hotel so that everything would be close by and she wouldn’t have to venture too far when she went out. The hotel entrance was quite sophisticated and stylish, with a little water fountain on the right in an area where tea and coffee was served for those who were waiting for guests. It looked beautiful and relaxing – big, yet still warm and inviting.
Beth’s room was the opposite of the rather modern and stylish foyer. It reminded her more of a Laura Ashley design, romanticism in warm colours, the ageless style, and harmony of the floral look. It was as if she’d stepped back in time, but she was content especially with the view over Grafton Street. The room was equipped with tea, coffee, and snack facilities so Beth didn’t have to attempt wandering the streets on the first evening. She had arranged to meet Siobhan and Erin the next day and needed that time to get used to the idea that she was going to meet two of Shane’s fans. Even though they all had become quite acquainted over the last few months, she was very nervous.
Sometimes we meet people but not to share the rest of our lives with them, but merely for them to guide us onto a different path.
Set in London and Dublin we follow the life of Beth, a young mother of two who is married to Shane, an actor whose work requires him to be in Los Angeles. When Beth meets Daniel, a fun-loving, spontaneous man from Ireland, she realises how much joy and passion are missing from her marriage, and consequently her life. Beth is torn between her marriage to Shane and her love for this Irish charmer

4 stars – NEW BEGINNINGS is a very emotional read, one that is heartwarming as well as heart wrenching. It gives you hope in the act of human kindness and that good things do happen to good people. I highly recommend this book.
