(5 star review)

I started this story a few weeks ago and I hope you’re enjoying it so far. I’m not sure where it’s heading, so any comments / critique is more than welcomed. I moved a little forward, back into Jesse’s POV – having a beer with his friends, Noah and Harrison.

Enjoy ♥

“Oh well, there’s a new lawyer in town who might need a bit of help,” Noah replied as a slow grin spread across his face.
“Give it a break,” Jesse snapped.
“Oh, for Christ’s sake. Evie walked out on you because you focussed too much on caring for your sister. It’s time to have some me-time,” Harrison countered.
“And out of all people you believe Lexie should be part of my me-time?” Jessie asked.
“You like her.”
“I don’t even know her.”
Noah’s grin grew wider. “Who’s Evie?”
“Jesse’s girlfriend from a few years back,” Harrison explained. “Everyone had them married and a happily ever after until Dana moved in.”
Noah cocked a brow.
“She wasn’t big on the idea of me sharing and caring for my sister.”
“I’d say in this case it was good riddance, right?” Noah asked.
Jesse lifted a shoulder in a shrug. “I guess in a way.”
Noah leaned forward and crossed his arms on the table. “I’m sure Molly wouldn’t mind to look after the little girl for an evening so you can take Lexie out for a dinner.”
Rubbing both hand over his face, Jesse replied, “Your wife’s only just had a baby and probably wanting all the sleep she can get.”
“Oh well. If Molly’s too tired, I’m sure Melody would be happy to do it,” Harrison suggested with a grin.
Jesse stood abruptly. “What is this shit? Cupid’s bar?” And without any more words stormed out of the pub and walked home.
Dinner with Lexie?
A small smile tugged at his lips, but as soon as he thought it, he dismissed the idea again remembering his friend’s words lacking people’s skill.
