#SnippetSunday “…she could blame him for the wild curls.” #romancebooks #amreading #amwriting

♥ Happy Sunday ♥
I’m continuing with my latest WIP which is set near
Lake Tekapo, New Zealand.
Enjoy ♥

Despite being tired, it took Lani a long time to fall asleep. There were so many things going around in her head that her mind wasn’t able to calm and let her sleep. Not to mention that every tiny noise in the house made her jerk and listen so intently that she was wide awake again.
She’d finally arrived in New Zealand and was anxious about meeting Tobias. Her father.
Blowing out a heavy breath, she reached for the light before searching for the photo of her mother and Tobias. It didn’t take long before she retrieved it from her jacket. She studied him and traced his face with her finger. The man next to her mother had dark curly hair, dark eyes and a solid build. In her diary her mother described him with chocolate brown eyes, thin lips, and dark chest hair.
Lani let out a soft snort. It was obvious she didn’t have the red hair from him, however, she could blame him for the wild curls.

Thanks for all your comments,

  1. What a journey! Traveling so far AND finding a father she’s never met. Loads of promise in this story. 🙂

    1. We found out that she’s looking for her father, now we know it’s Tobias. I’d better check that it’s clear. Thanks for commenting on it, Veronica.

    1. I hope i can make the situation justice. I’d hate to think i wouldn’t get it right.
      Thanks for stopping by, PT

  2. LOL – wild curls are a legacy I wouldn’t mind having! 🙂 I really enjoyed this snippet, what an interesting situation!
