I’m sharing another snippet from “Journey to Her Dreams”, my second book I wrote and which is now available for FREE for Kindle Unlimited subscribers.

Hollie Anderson, a young woman from Tasmania, lives on a farm outside Launceston, Australia. She has good looks, likes her job, and loves to hang out with her friends. But it’s a recurrent dream that throws her daily life into chaos and takes her on a journey to Ireland.
Sam Shaughnessy enjoys the success as Head of Advertising for a popular magazine in the Irish capital Dublin. Married to Padraic, she thinks she loves her husband, but when she meets Hollie under unusual circumstances, she needs to face the truth, and not just about her marriage.

When both women, so different in many ways, find out they have one thing in common, it changes their lives forever.

Enjoy ♥

“This actually suits me fine,” she finally replied after
admiring herself. “Don’t expect me in the office this afternoon. I’ll
be out for the rest of the day. I’ʹll work on the layouts for the
January edition tomorrow.” She hung up without even waiting for
a response, checked the time, and dialled a number.
“Claire?” Sam opened her car and threw her bag in the back. “How about some lunch?”
“Sam, seriously, someone has to tell you one day that other people actually need to work hard for their money,” Claire replied, but added, “How about I meet you in about half an hour on George Street?”
“Grand. I look forward to it.”
Sam got in her car and drove back into the main streets of Dublin. The cars ahead of her were slow, and she took a deep breath, trying to ignore her obvious dislike of the winter season. Dublin’s streets were still wet from the rain the last few days, and  Sam cursed at the glare off the street from the afternoon sun and the heavier than usual midday traffic. Christmas wasn’t far off, and the shops were doing their best to lure the customers into the main streets for some last-minute shopping—Ireland’s capital was packed. While searching for a parking spot, she noticed how many
Christmas lights had already gone up. The smell of candles and candies were in the air, which put a smile on Sam’s face. She remembered her family Christmases with great fondness. As she crossed the street, she came out of the protection of the building and was brought back to reality by the icy breeze on her face. Sam pulled the collar of her coat a tad higher in a weak attempt to shield herself from the cold air.
Approaching the café, Sam saw Claire was already waiting. When her friend started to shake her head in disbelief after studying Sam’s face, Sam chose to ignore her.
“Don’t tell me,” Claire said with a courteous but patronising voice.
“Okay, I won’t,” Sam said casually as she greeted Claire with a kiss on the cheek.
Claire flashed a look of frustration. “You know exactly what I mean. He did it again, didn’t he?”

#MFRWHooks “I’m ruining your vacation” #romance #mustread #Bookboost

♠♠  OUT NOW  ♠♠

The 3rd book in the Beginnings series was released in October, and I’d love to get “you hooked” with some snippets.

I’ve moved the story a little forward … this is when Jared meets Ivy, the heroine of this story. She’s left her boyfriend “to start a new life”

Enjoy ☺

Today’s Hook:

The waitress took their order and, even though Ivy asked for only a small sandwich, he added an extra serving of fries for her. Annoyed, she was determined not to eat it.
“For what it’s worth, I’m not running,” she said after a long moment of silence.
“Good for you. I’m not runnin’ either. Until three hours ago I was enjoyin’ me holidays.”
That made her look up, somewhat hurt inside. “I’m ruining your vacation?”
He laughed again. “Actually no. Ya makin’ it more interesting. Especially as your thoughts are turning your hair into smoke. What crazy idea have ya come up with?”
She glared at him.
“Mate, ya hot and cold. Obviously needin’ the ride, but scared I might be a lunatic.”
The waitress returned with their food, and Ivy was pleased for the interruption of the conversation. It gave her time to think. Time to think how to answer. Because bottom line was, she did need that ride and, deep inside, she believed he was a charming landscaper from Australia. But then again, she’d thought Dylan had been the love of her life. How wrong she’d been with that assumption. She had loved him and, completely honest with herself, still did. She missed him and, in the time since she’d left him, there had been many moments during which she wanted to call him to tell him exactly how much.
But life wasn’t a fairy tale. With her working all day, and Dylan spending almost every penny, life wouldn’t ever get better. And she wanted better. So much better.
“Are you? A lunatic I mean.”

Jared Fraser, a landscape business owner in Hobart, Australia, sets out for a holiday to the USA to travel along the Route 66 in a motorhome. Looking forward to his first holiday overseas, he’s excited as he prepares himself for the journey. But little could’ve prepared him for crossing paths with a beautiful hitchhiker.
Will he be able to put his past aside and grab onto happiness?
Ivy Bennett thought leaving her boyfriend would be the hard part. It doesn’t take long to figure out how wrong she was. As she struggles with making a new start in her life, the last person she expects to lead her to happiness is a laid-back Australian on vacation.
But she will have to say goodbye again. And not only to Jared.

4 starsThe Romance Review – NEW BEGINNINGS is a very emotional read, one that is heartwarming as well as heart wrenching. It gives you hope in the act of human kindness and that good things do happen to good people. I highly recommend this book.
