♥ Happy Sunday ♥
Time for something new. I spent a few weeks in Tasmania and thought the place deserves a story.
Enjoy ♥

Leonie Dupont absentmindedly gazed at the guy’s backside which was nicely tucked into blue jeans as he leaned under the hood of her rental car. Blowing out a long breath, she said, “Thanks again for helping.”
He stood straight, avoiding banging his head against the hood, and nodded towards the front of the car. “Try again.”
She sat on the driver’s seat and cranked the engine, relief flooding through her as the motor sprang to life. Not turning off the car, she stood and stepped towards him. “I don’t know how to thank you. What was wrong?”
His mouth curved into a smile. A very sexy smile indeed. “Nothing much. You should be okay for the rest of your travels. Unless you’re on your way to Darwin.”
She shook her head and held her hand out. “I owe you…”
He ignored her hand and replied, “Alex. And no you don’t. Happy to help.” He wiped his hand on his jeans and guilt trickled through her seeing the dirty marks his action left.
Closing the hood of the car, he asked, “Where are you heading…”
“Leonie.” She lifted her shoulder in a slight shrug. “No real plans. Just living each day.”
He cocked a brow. “That sounds mysterious.”
“Long story.”

  1. I would be interested to hear her long story.
Tasmania looks beautiful. That image looks like a post card. 🙂

  2. Enjoyed the excerpt, very promising beginning. It would tick me off personally for him not to tell me what was wrong specifically with the car. She’s obviously planning to drive a long way as she’s roaming and now she has no idea what to be aware of. Loose wires? Fluid levels? Battery? Sorry, it sent me down the rabbit hole… (Is Darwin far away? Is that why he mentions it? Sorry, don’t know a thing about the geography involved obviously LOL.) I think this is going to go in some intriguing directions, knowing your stories – can’t wait for more! (And I promise not to worry about the car 😉

    1. Thanks Veronica. This is great feedback. I will add details of the car break down (here’s some interesting research … LOL) and will also keep in mind that not all readers are familiar about our Australian geography. I’ll somehow weave that in as well.
