It has enjoyed another full edit and an awesome new cover.
Here’s another little snippet.
THANK YOU

“Advice is what we ask for when we already
know the answer, but wish we didn’t.”
Suddenly Flynn stood, anger and confusion boiling within. “Having a mature
conversation with you is the last thing on my mind. You have no idea what I’d like to do with you.” He stalled for a moment and heard William’s voice.
Teresa opened her mouth to respond, but William held her arm. ”Tess, love. Leave
him be. For once, don’t have the last word.”
An overload of emotions stirred in Flynn — grief, sadness, confusion, and anger.
Flynn stormed off.
Out of the corner of his eye, Flynn noticed William watching him. He reached the
café’s entrance and then turned to go back. Each hesitant step Flynn was making was like climbing a high mountain. Breathing became hard. Focusing on what to say or even think nearly impossible. But he knew he had to do this. Could do it!
“Does she know?” Flynn asked when he reached the table.
“Her name is Nadine,” Teresa emphasised.
Flynn noticed William’s hand on her arm, giving her slight squeeze. “Yes she does,”
William answered calmly.
He cursed under his breath. “Everybody but me seems to know.” Flynn worked hard not to let his temper get the better of him again. He blew out a breath and asked, “Why are you here?”
“You have the right to know. And she’s got that right as well.”

Thanks for all your comments,
I do appreciate each single one of them!

Hmmm… I think there’s more to it than a “right to know.” If that’s all it is they’d have told him years ago.
You might be on the right track here 🙂 Thanks for stopping by, PT
I like all of it, but really like this part, Iris: “Each hesitant step Flynn was making was like climbing a high mountain. Breathing became hard. Focusing on what to say or even think nearly impossible.”
I’ve felt that way. That is a wonderful description!
Aww … thank you. I really appreciate you comment, Teresa.
The emotion in this snippet just oozes out, very well done.
Thank you, Chelle. Much appreciated.!
Breathless, hurting, and forcefully humbled by the need to…what? That’s the anxiety coming through. Well done!
Thank you, Gem. Glad you liked it.
Going back to do the right thing is like climbing a mountain – apt analogy!
Thank you 🙂 Much appreciated.
The tension is so thick here it’s like a blanket. I look forward to these snippets every week. 🙂
Oh, Joyce. You’ve made my day. Thank you!
He had the right to know from the start. What took them so long to decide to tell him now? There has to be more to this, right? Great snippet. Want to know more.
Yes, there’s more to come 🙂 Thanks Karen.
Well at least he went back to learn more – he gets credit for that decision. Great snippet!
LOL … yes he did. Thanks Veronica.
Such delicious tension in this exchange! “does she know?” indeed. Nice snippet.
Thank you 🙂 And thanks for stopping by.
Oh man, finding out you’re a dad this way. Wow. Great snippet, Iris.
🙂 Thanks Siobhan. Appreciate it.
Another lovely snippet full of delicious emotion.
Thank you , Elaine. 🙂
“Right to know”? So they just want to treat that as some information? That’s lot more than a right to know, he is clearly supposed to do something about it like meet Nadine at least. I hope they will allow that.
More to come, Linda. You’ll find out soon. 🙂
Took them long enough to tell him…something’s not right.
It did, didn’t it. Thanks Elizabeth 🙂
Know what? Inquiring minds want to know!
Sorry for taking so long to get around to the snippets this week. Mea culpa.
You’re here, it all that matters 🙂 And thanks for stopping by. I appreciate it.
Tension overload. Great snippet.
Indeed 🙂 Thanks Cecilia. 🙂
Thank you Cecilia ! 🙂
Oh wow… The tension in this is really amping up. Poor guy must be swimming in his thoughts and emotions. I think I’d be just as pissed as him though to be the last to know it seems. He has every right to be livid.
