Happy Sunday
Today’s snippet is again from my new story, which follows Piper and Jon.

THANK YOU

Today’s Snippet

“I’m staying a cabin in a caravan park. It has two rooms. It’d be great to have you here for a week or two.”

“Perfect,” Keith replied. “I check flights once I get off the call. How do I get to your place?”

“I’ll pick you up. I reckon it’s only an hour or so to the Melbourne airport.”

“Deal!” He let out a chuckle. “I’ll ask whether Gareth would like to join me.”

Jon joined his friend in the chuckle, knowing how much their friend disliked to fly. “Good luck with that one.”

“Any nice female surfers there?”

Jon scratched the back of his neck, and all of a sudden he thought of his cabin neighbour, wondering whether she surfed as well. “There’s a surfing competition on in town. I’m sure you two will meet someone.”

“How about you?”

He cocked a brow. “What about me?”

His friend let out a snort. “Women. Have you met anybody, yet?”

Keith knew about Paula, who had packed her bags the day she’d been told that Jon had survived the heart attack, but might never fully recover. They’d been engaged for two years and had postponed their wedding until they were both able to take time off. So much for through good times and bad times. No, Jon had burnt his hands when it came to women.

Yet, why was he message-flirting with his neighbour?
