Today’s Snippet

She knocked and returned to her part of the cabin. Still with a hint of a smile on her lips and her embarrassment fading, she headed towards the small kitchenette to find the kettle. It was time for a cup of tea and a nice movie to relax and escape her current life. She needed to get away from her thoughts, her troubles that were eating at her. As she reached for the milk out of the fridge, a subtle thumping noise from the hall shifted her attention to the door again. Another message. She grinned, placed the milk on the bench, and picked up the next note: Hmm. I’d say that’s a lie. I heard your tears and it broke my heart.
