  2. My favourite book is Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry. I also adore the sequel, The Streets of Laredo. They’re intricately beautiful, character driven stories.
The favourite I have written is Ella, an Australian historical ‘rural’ romance that pre-published made the finals in every contest she entered and won for the hero Cal an award of his own.

  15. One of my favorite historicals is ‘The Spymaster’s Lady’ by Joanna Bourne. I read the series and this one plus ‘The Forbidden Rose’ were the best.

One of my favorite historical places is the French Quarter in New Orleans. I spent a couple of years doing research and also visiting the Quarter to get a feel for the place before I wrote “To Save a Lady,” which is set during the War of 1812 in the Quarter http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00OJF5MFK/ I hope to get the second book in the series finished and published early next year.
