Again, Ms. Blobel shares her talent of writing a suspenseful, romantic, emotional and terrific book. I was captured at the first page and couldn’t wait to find out what would happen next.
This book also brings us the story of Zach, Mia’s friend, and his emotional decisions he must make for happiness.
Bravo to Ms. Blobel on another book that will rest up with my favorites!
“How did this conversation go so out of control?” she asked.
She turned and looked around, but he wasn’t quite sure why. Following her gaze, he spotted Mia on the sports oval, reminding him to catch up with her.
Natasha’s sudden words startled him. “Hey there. I’m Miss Peterson. Nice meeting you. You must be Sophie’s neighbour, who’s looking after Mia this weekend.”
He could’ve kissed her then and there. There was no doubt about it. Eyeing her hand that she held towards him, he finally took it.
“Nice meeting you, too, Miss Peterson.”
“My apologies, but I think I’m needed over at the… well, somewhere.”
Without any more words, she left him standing there, alone with his thoughts.
One kiss. One small kiss to taste those lips. That was all could think of. He watched the teacher walk away across the oval until she was approached by a group of students. In the middle of their conversation, she tilted her head slightly and looked at him, and he was sure he saw a small smile on her lips. He returned her smile and kept watching her until he remembered why he was here in the first place.
One small kiss.
BLURB:

And although Natasha, Mia’s teacher, is attracted to him as well, she has her own problems to deal with, not to mention her initial reaction to Zach’s occupation.
Will Zach’s job keep him from a chance to be with Natasha?

When Sophie won’t answer Mia’s questions, emotions run high, and Zach confirms Darren’s identity to Mia. Disappointed, angry, and feeling alone, Mia runs away.
Will life settle back into a routine for Mia once she finds out about the stranger in her life?

4 stars – NEW BEGINNINGS is a very emotional read, one that is heartwarming as well as heart wrenching. It gives you hope in the act of human kindness and that good things do happen to good people. I highly recommend this book.
I should’ve paid more attention to the title: is this the book you’ve been snippeting from on Weekend Writing Warriors?
Hi Ed. No this is a different story. I released this book a few weeks back. WWW is still a WIP 🙂
I figured that out after leaving my comment. The hero of the other story met his teacher under different circumstances. Lots of teachers — were you a teacher? I taught for 12 years in British Columbia.
No, never have been, but now that you’re mentioning it, yes I do have a few teachers in my story – I suppose always a good link for a story with children 🙂
Do you have to be Australian to be able to understand this, Iris??? ;^)
Nice review!
LOL … possibly should’ve added more of last week’s post for it to make more sense. Thanks for stopping by, Lisabet. 🙂
