Today’s snippet is again from my new story, which follows Piper and Jon.
“I’m near Bells Beach, hoping to get to ride the surf there.” Jon looked out the small window and into the dark distance where the moon shone in all its glory. “And I haven’t made it to Melbourne, yet, let alone Sydney.”
“Mate, we miss you here.”
Keith’s words were spoken in no more than a whisper, but the goosebumps on Jon’s arms reflected the intensity of it. “I miss you guys, too, but I have to do this.”
Jon blew out a breath. “I have to figure out what I want to do.”
Silence hung heavy between them until his friend broke it. “I could take some time off and join you at Bells Beach.”
Thanks for all your comments,
I do appreciate each single one of them!

It seems Jon has a caring friend.
Thanks Aurora., Good friends are worth more than any money in the world, right 😉
I like his friend! Enjoyed the snippet – your characters always seem so real…as if you actually know them in your everyday life.
