I return to my story I started a few weeks back. This is Lexie’s POV again.
Enjoy ♥
Again, he surprised her with his care and forward thinking. “None for Zoe, and I’ll be fine, thank you.”
He nodded, his attention on Zoe again. “I have to head out, but I’ll see you again tomorrow. Don’t forget about the name.”
Zoe’s head bobbed up and down eagerly, but Lexie had a feeling she was too worried to speak so she wouldn’t rattle the animals again.
Although a little disappointed that Jesse had left, Lexie still enjoyed the morning and when she checked the time again, it was lunchtime already. They said their goodbyes to everyone, Zoe to each animal, and left.
“Would you like to have lunch at the bakery?”
Zoe’s eyes grew wide. “Can we? And take it to the beach?”
“That sounds like a lovely idea.”
Half an hour later, they sat at the beach, each a sandwich and a drink in their hands, enjoying the view.
“I think I like it here, Mum.”
A smile tugged on Lexie’s lips. “I’m glad you do. I think we’re going to have a really good time here.”
Thanks for all your comments,
