Happy Sunday. I’ve moved on from my Tassie story and would like to introduce you to yet another Alinta Bay couple. Jonah and Maddie.
Enjoy ♥
“Not sure why he wouldn’t be, but, yes, he’s a fine specimen of an adult.”
“May I talk to him?”
Maddie turned to look at Jonah with raised brows. He hitched a shoulder in question as well, but moved closer to the panel again.
“I’m here.”
“Thanks. Could you try to open the doors?”
Jonah cocked a brow, but before he could reply, Maddie piped up, “You do know this is sexism, right? You could have asked me that too.”
Out of all people, he had to be stuck in a lift with a person who walked the path of political correctness. Yet, Jonah remained silent, he wouldn’t dare to step into that conversation. Instead, he moved his hand to point at the doors. “Be my guest.”
There was some static noise from the panel. “Maddie, it has nothing to do with sexism but with the fact that I needed to talk to Jonah as well. It’s not just about finding out what can be done but also what your state of mind is.”
She blew out a massive sigh and slouched her shoulders. “I know you’re right and I do apologise. I just feel so helpless.”
Jonah gave her a wink. “Let’s tackle the task together.”
Thanks for all your comments,
I do appreciate each single one of them!
And check out Snippet Sunday Facebook site for other writers.

I’m impressed by how he’s handling himself, at least so far.
LOL … they’re both doing reasonably well in this situation … at least i’m hoping so 😉
I like Jonah. I like that he remains calm and seems to understand she needs that right now.
Thanks Karen – I’m looking forward to writing his story 🙂
I like Jonah’s attitude too.
Thank you Aurora 🙂
Your people always seem so real to me, as if we could actually meet them and sit down for a chat. Enjoying this story and I liked the way the situation was defused in this snippet. Great!
Aww – thank you Veronica. You always say the kindest words. Much appreciated !
