Grabbing his phone, Markus flicked through a few names and dialled Oliver’s number. “Where are you?” he asked when his friend answered the call.
“Give me five minutes.”
Markus raised his brows. “The groom’s having a hard time settling his nerves.”
Oliver let out a bark of laughter. “It’s his wedding day. Yeah, I’d be a little restless too. Do you have the rings? Katie will kill you, if you don’t.”
Although sure he did, panic rose within Markus as he rummaged through his pockets to retrieve the small box. “Yes, all good.”
“Okay,” Oliver replied. “See you in five.”
He hung up and gave Tyson, who was still pacing, a reassuring smile.
“Where the hell is he?”
“Wouldn’t say,” he said with a lift of his shoulder in a quick shrug.
“What do you mean he wouldn’t say?” Tyson shot him a glare. “You have the rings, right?”
Markus nodded.
I think the rings are always one of the biggest worries on a wedding day! Check and re-check. Enjoyed the snippet!
LOL, they are indeed 🙂 Thanks for stopping by Veronica!
great snippet!
I can never read that line without thinking about my daughter-in-law’s 3 year old nephew, who at the appropriate moment for the ring bearer’s entrance, charged full speed into the venue carrying the ring pillow and ran up and hugged his aunt. (the rings were safe in his father’s pocket…)
hahahaha … a wedding no one will forget, and not for the obvious reason it seems, LOL … love the memory. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
