Happy Wednesday everyone.
This is my latest release
DEFYING RULES
which is currently on pre-order with the release date on 17 March 2020.
I hope you’ll enjoy today’s “hook”.
Today’s Hook:
A smile tugged at Logan Hendrix’s lips when he saw his ten-year-old son Nicholas through the rear-view mirror in the back of the car. It must’ve been the most uncomfortable position, with his head leaning back against the booster seat, the neck bent into an awkward position. And yet, he envied Nick for his little snooze. It had been a bit of a rollercoaster twenty-four hours for them since receiving the bad news from home. Their drive into Hobart earlier in the morning as well as the almost one-hour-flight back to Melbourne had been draining on both — emotionally as well as physically.
They had spent ten days in Tasmania exploring the island in a motorhome. It’d been a great adventure, and Nick had loved the different scenery, the adventures, and even discovered his love for fishing.
BLURB:
Sometimes one has to break rules in order to find happiness…
Widower Logan Hendrix is puzzled by the recent series of small crimes against his son’s new teacher. It’s a mystery to him, and he offers her his help. There’s an instant attraction, and Logan wants to take their parent/teacher relationship to a more personal level.
It doesn’t take Addison Ryker long to fall in love with Alinta Bay, the small town she’s moved to for her new teaching position at the local primary school. Her newfound haven is threatened, however, when her house is broken into and she is relying on the unbelievably stubborn but very sexy Logan for help. Although captivated by him, Addison worries her career could be compromised, because there are rules about dating a parent.
“This blood-pumping novel will keep the reader hooked until the very end.” InD’tale Magazine

I’m back with more snippets for you.
I hope I’ll be able to post weekly again …
This is still the story set in Tasmania, Leonie’s attempt to travel around the beautiful Australian state. Today’s snippet is still in Alex’s POV.
Enjoy ♥
“And Alex is no criminal, either,” his father added with a smile.
Alex chuckled.
“Not in real life anyway,” Hans added quickly.
Eyes wide, Alex stared at him in disbelief. “Why would you say something like that?”
Leonie cleared her throat and took a step back. “More importantly would you mind explaining? Needless to say it’s not something a woman wants to hear when making a decision whether or not to stay at the criminal’s house.”
The old man’s laugh was deep and rich. “I’m talking about the books.”
Alex looked at Leonie, who, judging by the blank expression on her face was lost in the conversation. He rubbed his hands over his face. That was one of the last things he wanted her to know. It’d been the cause of his problems with Patty. Money. Fame. For him, it was a by-product of what he loved most: writing books.
Leonie gently tapped on his upper arm. “Care to explain?”
With raised brows, he let out a pent up breath. “Do I have to?”
She tilted her head and placed her hands on her hips. “It would be nice, considering that I was about to accept your offer. Why would your dad say something like this?”
Hans stepped closer and placed a hand on each of their shoulders. “My apologies. It was a proud dad moment, assuming everyone knows. Our Alex writes crime books and has had a few of his books in the bestseller lists.” He let out a little chuckle. “Very vivid imagination. Even as a kid. Nicest guy you could meet, though, in real life.”
Thanks for all your comments,
I do appreciate each single one of them!

RIGHT KIND OF WRONG!

Title: Right Kind of Wrong
Author: Sara Rider
Genre: Contemporary Romance
About Right Kind of Wrong:
When Julia Hardin is hired to plan the local library’s annual fundraiser, it’s exactly the chance she needs to take her event planning business to the next level. With a shoestring budget and ridiculously tight timeline, it won’t be easy to pull off, but Julia has never shied away from a challenge before. Then again, she’s never met a challenge quite like Fergus MacNair, the town’s hot, grumpy librarian who’s determined to thwart her plans at every turn.
Fergus is willing to do almost anything to bring in more funds to support vital library programming. But nothing about working with Julia, a woman who gets under his skin like no other, is easy. Not her bossy attitude, not her over-the-top decorations, and most certainly not the way she sparks an uncontrollable desire inside of him. But when she accidentally returns a library book with a sexy doodle of him for a bookmark, he realizes just how unprepared he is for this partnership.
When Fergus discovers her doodle, Julia is certain this is one disaster she’ll never recover from. But when Fergus responds with a naughty drawing of his own, these complete opposites might just find a common language after all.

Happy Wednesday everyone.
Hope you’ll enjoy another “hook” from “Journey to her Dreams “.
Today’s Hook:
Hollie panicked and as she freed herself from him, she opened the door, tumbling out of the car.
Jeremy followed her outside.
“Hollie,” he shouted, rushing towards her. “Hollie, I’m sorry.”
She shook her head and her words were spoken through gritted teeth. “Leave me be. I need you to leave.”
And without giving him a chance to explain, she ran to the house, tears falling down her face. How dare he insult her by assuming she would be ready for anything more than just a drink? Once she reached the door, relief washed over her, not only because of the safety of her own house, but also at the sound of the car speeding off into the dark night.
Hollie closed the door behind her, grateful her dad was already in bed. Leaning into the door, she took slow controlled breaths until her heart slowed. It took her several minutes until she settled, until she was confident and strong enough to make it upstairs to her bedroom.
Still in her jacket she threw herself on her bed. What on earth had just happened? Restless while coming down from the adrenaline rush, she replayed the events of earlier in her head over and over again. Questions of what had happened tossed around in her mind until she drifted off into the darkness of sleep.
A deep sleep.
BLURB:
There must be a reason for her dreams…
Hollie Anderson, a young woman living in Tasmania, is content with life, even more so since she has met Jeremy. However, she has been having a recurrent dream that impacts her daily life, as well as her relationship, a dream that eventually takes her on a journey to Ireland.
Samantha Shaughnessy enjoys the success as Head of Advertising for a popular magazine in the Irish capital Dublin. Married to Padraic, she thinks she loves her husband, but when she meets Hollie under unusual circumstances, she needs to face the truth–and not just about her marriage.
When both women meet and find they share an unexpected tie to the past, will they finally be able to move on into relationships with the men they love?

I’m back with more snippets for you.
I hope I’ll be able to post weekly again …
This is still the story set in Tasmania, Leonie’s attempt to travel around the beautiful Australian state. Today’s snippet is still in Alex’s POV.
Enjoy ♥
Alex looked at his dad who gave him a slight nod. He knew it was supposed to encourage him to jump over his own hesitation and offer his house again.
There was silence, and a moment of hesitation. Alex studied her out of the corner of his eye before he inhaled deeply.
He’d always hoped to have something similar to his parents’ relationship. Their love for each other, their understanding of each other, but also their trust in each other. Alas, it hadn’t been meant to be for him and Patty. Her only interest in him was his next pay cheque. And despite his parents’ reassurances not all women are the same, he still had his doubts.
Leonie hauled him back from his thoughts. “Anyway, I think I’d better get going, so I might get to Bridport after all before sunset.”
Alex met her gaze. Hesitated, but repeated his offer after a little nudge from his dad, “The offer still stands in regard to staying in Binalong Bay. I’ll let Mrs. Hamill, my neighbour who’s looking after the house while I’m away, know and she’ll get it ready for you.”
“I can’t—”
“Yes, you can. It’s safe and free.”
“And Alex is no criminal, either,” his father added with a smile.
