TODAY’S SNIPPET:
Logan chuckled. “I find the comparison to a rainbow rather nice. It’s a bit like someone who speaks in endearment.”
“Oh, for fuck’s sake. Endearment my arse.”
Noah wiped some sweat from his forehead. “So, what happened?”
“She worked for Mum for free lodging. Then one day, Mum found a few hundred dollars missing from the till over a couple of weeks. And shortly after, Melody was nowhere to be seen.”
“Didn’t you say she transferred the money back?” Logan wanted to know.
Frustrated, Harrison looked at his cousin. “Yes, she did.” His reply was spoken barely above a whisper. He remembered when she’d called him earlier in the year. So surprised to hear her voice, he’d nearly dropped the phone. No wonder her parents gave her the name Melody. She did have a voice like an angel. And that frustrated him even more. The very fact that he thought of her as an angel.
BLURB:
Can two seemingly incompatible people who judge each other on past events be able to find some common ground?
Harrison Hendrix believes in second chances, but when it comes to Melody, he has every reason to doubt it’s possible. He’s conflicted when he sees her back in town and tries his best to see the change in her that other friends mention. Even more so when spending a night with her after being set up for a dinner date.
Life hasn’t been kind to Melody Foster, and she returns to Alinta Bay for a new beginning. Hit by tragedy again, she’s determined to live life to the fullest and with no regrets. She creates a bucket list … on wlynn receives help him decide what to do?

Melody sounds like someone I’d like to know.
Yes, I’d say you’d like her 😉
I love the “speaks in endearment” followed by a rough denial. Great difference between the two.
Thank you 🙂
I’m sure there’s a deeper story behind why Melody stole that money…
There absolutely is … more importantly she’s returned it ! 🙂
Another great snippet. Love this story.
Thank you, Suzi! 🙂
I feel for Melody. She sounds like a person in over her head just by the way they talk about her. And I agree: there’s a good reason why she stole the money.
Yes, it’s been rough for her, but there are better times ahead … in a way 😉
Thanks, Maggie.
