Noah tilted his head. “I feel as if I have or I am about to step into a minefield, but explain to me, she took a few dollars and then paid it back. Was she charged?”
Harrison shook his head. “Mum didn’t want to. She argued that Melody most likely had needed it and had worked hard for it.”
His brother cocked a brow.
“My thoughts exactly. Anyway, I’ll give the rest of the run a raincheck. I’d rather head over to Mum’s and check on the situation. If Mum let’s her stay in the little room in the attic again, I’ll make sure she pays some money this time.”
Logan choked back a chuckle.
“What?”
“You like her.”
“Bullshit.”
Logan’s chuckle turned into a laugh.
“You’re as crazy as Dad,” Harrison muttered with a shake of his head.
His cousin frowned. “How come?”
“Dad said something along those lines as well.”
