Hi everyone ♥
I’m continuing with Snippets from BETWEEN GOODBYE AND HELLO, the third book in the ALINTA BAY series.
If you’re a KU subscriber, please take a moment to check it out as well as the first two books in the series: “DEFYING RULES” and “TELL IT TO MY HEART”
♥ ENJOY ♥
TODAY’S SNIPPET:
Noah gazed to the bus stop. “I don’t get it. So, who’s this across the road? This woman doesn’t look anything like who you just described.”
“That’s her,” Harrison explained, not sure whether his half-brother was actually listening. “I just told you.”
“Mate, I still don’t understand. You described a hippie from the sixties.”
Rubbing his neck, Harrison’s words weren’t more than just a whisper. “I know. That’s what worries me.”
“That was six months ago when she rang and asked for the bank details,” Logan commented.
“I know.” Harrison followed Logan’s gaze as he looked to the bus stop again. Melody was walking towards his mother’s bakery. He shoved his hand through his hair and clenched his jaw to keep from cursing.
“I take it your mum didn’t tell you that Melody was coming back.”
Without looking at his cousin, Harrison replied, “I wonder whether she knows either.”
“I always had the impression you liked her?”
Harrison shot him a glare. “Are you insane? No way. I mean, geez, did you see how she used to dress, like a rainbow in the sky. Not to mention the money thing.”
Logan chuckled. “I find the comparison to a rainbow rather nice. It’s a bit like someone who speaks in endearment.”
BLURB:
Can two seemingly incompatible people who judge each other on past events be able to find some common ground?
Harrison Hendrix believes in second chances, but when it comes to Melody, he has every reason to doubt it’s possible. He’s conflicted when he sees her back in town and tries his best to see the change in her that other friends mention. Even more so when spending a night with her after being set up for a dinner date.
Life hasn’t been kind to Melody Foster, and she returns to Alinta Bay for a new beginning. Hit by tragedy again, she’s determined to live life to the fullest and with no regrets. She creates a bucket list … on which #8 the very difficult, yet extremely sexy Harrison has been included. Why does it seem he’s always around when she’s in trouble?
Maybe it’s time to take a risk and leave the past where it belongs, but will trusting their instinct be the right choice for them?
